Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Bible Reader mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

We built Bible Reader to be privacy-friendly and offline-first. The App does not require an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or sign-in information.

1. Information stored on your device

All of your personal usage data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us:

This information is saved locally using your device's standard storage and is removed when you uninstall the App (unless you have created a backup file yourself).

2. Information collected by third-party services

The App uses a small number of third-party services that may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

a) Google AdMob (advertising)

We display ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process device information and identifiers (such as the advertising ID) to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

b) Google Play Billing & RevenueCat (purchases)

If you purchase a premium subscription or one-time upgrade, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing, and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details.

3. Device permissions

The App may request the following permissions, only for the stated purpose:

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.

4. AI Bible Chat

The optional AI Bible Chat sends the text of your questions to our secure server, which forwards them to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini) solely to generate a Scripture-based reply. We do not attach your name or a personal account to these requests, and we do not use them to build an advertising profile. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in the chat.

5. Children's privacy

Bible Reader is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the advertising services, please contact us.

6. Data sharing and security

7. Your rights

Depending on your region (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since the App stores your data locally and we hold no personal account data, you can exercise most of these rights directly by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it. For data processed by the third-party services above, please refer to their respective policies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through a notice in the App.

9. Contact
